The Lifelong Learning and Wellness Program supports seniors maintain their lifestyle and independence through a variety of classes, from exercise to learning new skills! You can help this program by volunteering as an Office Coordinator, and support program staff with daily tasks. ACC Senior Services promotes the general welfare and enhances the quality of life for seniors by identifying and providing culturally sensitive health and social services.
During a typical shift, you will...
- Answer phone calls and questions from class participants.
- Assist with data entry for participants and classes.
- Register students for classes.
- Make informative and interesting flyers to recruit new class participants!
A successful volunteer will have these skills...
- Ability to use multi-line telephones.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Publisher!
- Ability to use office copy machine.
Schedule & Length of Commitment
This volunteer opportunity has shifts as follows:
- 1st & 3rd Tuesday 9:00am - 1:00pm
- 2nd & 4th Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm
This schedule is recurring each month, we prefer our volunteers to commit to at least 3 months of service.
Our offices are located at 7334 Park City Drive, Sacramento CA, 95831
We'll train you on these things:
- ACC volunteer policies and procedures, HIPAA Confidentiality, and Elder Abuse Prevention.
- Other trainings provided on an as-needed basis, dependent on volunteer job duties.

Requirements to Volunteer at ACC's Lifelong Learning and Wellness Program: |

All volunteers are required to watch two (2) training videos, each video is approximately 20 - 25 minutes long. The first video covers the responsibilities of Elder Abuse Prevention and Mandated Reporting, and the second video covers HIPAA confidentiality. |

All volunteers are required to read and sign all waivers in the Volunteer Application Packet. |
